You Knew This Was Coming, Dood!
Seriously dood, if you even doubted for a fraction of a second that Nippon Ichi would pass up an opportunity to milk even more cash from its American Disgaea fanbase, you seriously need to step up your economics game.
Not only did Jack Niida, a marketing executive at NIS, confirm that プリニー ～オレが主人公でイイんスか？～ / Prinny – Ore ga Shujinkou de Iinsuka? (Prinny – Can I be the Hero?) was primed for an American release some time in the future, but also made the bold claim that the PSP title’s hardest difficulty would be a real ballbuster! NIS is definitely known for its forays into sprite-based roleplaying, and not so much for its platforming action titles… but then again, what would you expect from a game starring Prinnies anyway? They’re pretty much the butt of every cruel joke in the Underworld and I wouldn’t expect their missions to be anything short of suicidal (and pretty lawl, at that).
As previously announced, PSP owners will be able to download a demo for the game via the PSN next week (the 29th). Heh, and you can be sure that I’ll be covering reactions to the gameplay then.
