しかし! / shikashi!, Why Are You so AFK!?
Speaking of cozy rooms, the big reason why I haven’t really been posting all that much the last couple of days is because of my recent move back to Los Angeles! The school year is just about set to start for students enrolled in a University of California campus that uses the quarter system. That… and well I seem to have lost my laptop’s power supply… lol. Yeah, being able to stay afloat on the net for an hour at a time really sucks and well, there’s not much I can do about it until my new one arrives on Thursday (knowing the school’s mail system, I’ll likely be seeing it on Friday, if not Monday outright)!
Anyway, that’ll pretty much bring an end to my first two months here at しかし! / shikashi! It seems like it was only a few hours ago that I started up this place… but since then, I’ve managed to get a fair number of readers dropping by every now and then to check the blog out. As we barrel toward the end of the year, I was wondering if reader’s wanted this place to stay on its track as a general otaku visual culture site or if you wanted to read about more niche subjects (lol, dakimakura fans need not apply).
Also, I’ve noticed that there are quite a few folks arriving from all across Europe as well as Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines! I’m not entirely convinced that this is the power of wordpress.com, so if you arrived here via other channels I’d sure like to know about ’em (or heck, maybe WP really is that awesome). I’m a huge sucker for international traffic so if there’s anything I can do to better accommodate my readers outside of America, let me know!
And lastly, for my Filipino readers: don’t feel shy about commenting in Tagalog if you ever find yourself lost as to how to get a point across in English. I spent a large portion of my childhood near the ultra-commercial Ortigas Center in Pasig City as well as in the more provincial areas around Tacloban City in Leyte. I could definitely use some conversational practice!
See you guys back here this weekend for a return to pre-made, non-automated publishing content on しかし! / shikashi!
