Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann – Revoltech PVC/ABS (Kaiyodo)

First unveiled as a monochrome prototype back at the winter Tokyo Wonder Festival, what is perhaps Kaiyodo’s most ambitious Revoltech figure yet has finally gotten a concrete release date for retailers this autumn. Yes, I’m talking about none other than the absolutely ludicrous awesome Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, the title mech of Gainax’s latest TV series brainchild.

Oh hell yes.

Given how we only really saw the Tengen Toppa in action during the final episode, it can only be expected that any other manufacturer would be satisfied with just getting the figure out to market (since it will be the first of this super mech ever released). However, true to Revoltech form along with 14 points of articulation this compact rendition of the galaxy-sized mech will feature not only standard hand replacements, but also a redesigned spinning drill, Lazengann torso option, and spiral power flares to add even more to the Tengen Toppa’s already intimidating design.

So awesome even the freakin' drill has options.

I don’t know about you, but this is THE Revoltech I’ve been waiting for. I mean honestly, I haven’t been this pumped for one since well… Yotsuba, lol! October’s shaping up to be a good month for potential desk accessories, can’t wait to freak someone out with this awesome release.

Somehow, just have to find a way to pony up 1,995 JPY (~20 USD) and mark your calendars for October 15th!
