Obata, Ohba “Explode” Back Onto the Pages of Jump
With Death Note having ended its original serial run in Weekly Shonen Jump back two years ago, fans of the author pairing of knife aficionado Takeshi Obata and mystery man (or woman?) Tsugumi Ohba have had to rely on nostalgic re-reads of the supernatural suspense-thriller to get their fix. That is, until now.

Looks like Obata may be returning to an early Hikaru no Go-like style.
Details on what exactly the new effort, entitled Bakuman, is all about have been scarce. Having only been announced in this week’s Weekly Shonen Jump #36, all the advertising spotlight had to say about the series has been centered around its “explosive” nature.
Look for more about Bakuman next week when Jump #37 hits newsstands in Japan on August 11th!
